Basic training prep challenges to get you ready to be Air Force fit.

1,500 Push-Ups, 30 Day Challenge

Don’t go to basic training and have your instructor tell you “on your face” without being able to do a proper amount of push-ups.

Even if it’s 5 or 10 push-ups here and there, start doing them now. Complete 50 total in a day, everyday. In a few weeks time you’ll be doing all your push-ups together in a breeze and ready for the basic training pt test. Taking the 30 day challenge you’ll complete 350 push-ups each week and 1,500 total. Commit to it and keep yourself accountable. 40 minute run, 6 week challenge

Are you ready for 40 minutes of continuous self paced running 3 times a week in basic?

40 minutes can be daunting and not everyone is ready. Start simple, begin by a self paced run for 5 minutes. Next time add 2 additional minutes to your run time. Run 3 times a week going 2 minutes further each time. After 6 weeks of running you’ll be at a 40 minute run time. Commit to it and keep yourself accountable. KNOW THE NUMBERS

In order to make it through basic training you are gonna have to pass the pt test. Know what to expect and prepare yourself to outperform the minimum requirements. Your performance is tallied up for a combined score. Not achieving the minimum requirements and anything under 75% is failing so be ready to push yourself.

Minimum requirements to pass basic training pt test: Males

1.5 mile Run Time – 12:45

1 Minute Timed Push-ups – 44

1 Minute Timed Sit-ups – 46

Abdominal Circumference – 37.5 inches

Minimum requirements to pass basic training pt test: Females

1.5 mile Run Time – 15:21

1 Minute Timed Push-ups – 27

1 Minute Timed Sit-ups – 42

Abdominal Circumference – 34 inches
